Molecular mechanisms of cis-oxygen bridge neonicotinoids to Apis mellifera Linnaeus chemosensory protein: Surface plasmon resonance, multiple spectroscopy techniques, and molecular modeling.

Ecotoxicol Environ Saf

January 2025

State Key Laboratory for Biology of Plant Diseases and Insect Pests, Institute of Plant Protection, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Beijing 100193, China. Electronic address:

Honeybees, essential pollinators for maintaining biodiversity, are experiencing a sharp population decline, which has become a pressing environmental concern. Among the factors implicated in this decline, neonicotinoid pesticides, particularly those belonging to the fourth generation, have been the focus of extensive scrutiny due to their potential risks to honeybees. This study investigates the molecular basis of these risks by examining the binding interactions between Apis mellifera L.

Background: Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) affects 3.9% of the general population. While massed cognitive processing therapy (CPT) has demonstrated efficacy in treating chronic PTSD, a substantial proportion of patients still continue to meet PTSD criteria after treatment, highlighting the need for novel therapeutic approaches.

Cardiopulmonary exercise testing as a prognosis-assessing tool in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.

ESC Heart Fail

January 2025

Department of Cardiology, Angiology and Intensive Care Medicine, Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité, Berlin, Germany.

Aims: Patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction represent half of the heart failure patients nowadays, an at least steady trend due to the aging of the population. We investigated whether the parameters obtained from cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) correlated with the prognosis of these patients. This prospective observational cohort study assesses the relationship between the CPET parameters peakVO and VE/VCO slope and the number of heart failure hospitalizations or cardiovascular death of these patients.

Background: The current study attempts to assess the impact of third molar impaction on external root resorption (ERR) of the adjacent second molars. We aimed to determine the prevalence, severity, and associated factors with ERR in a sample of panoramic radiographs.

Material And Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional study was carried out at teaching hospital.

Thrombolysis for aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage.

Cochrane Database Syst Rev

January 2025

Ageing Clinical and Experimental Research, University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, UK.

Background: Aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage continues to cause a significant burden of morbidity and mortality despite advances in care. Trials investigating local administration of thrombolytics have reported promising results.

Objectives: - To assess the effect of thrombolysis on improving functional outcome and case fatality following aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage - To determine the effect of thrombolysis on the risk of cerebral artery vasospasm, delayed cerebral ischaemia, and hydrocephalus following subarachnoid haemorrhage - To determine the risk of complications of local thrombolysis in aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage SEARCH METHODS: We searched the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (last searched 9 March 2023), MEDLINE Ovid (1946 to 9 March 2023), and Embase Ovid (1974 to 9 March 2023).
