Trifluralin, a widely used dinitroaniline herbicide, poses significant toxic risks, necessitating the development of rapid detection methods for food safety. In this study, we prepared ultrathin two-dimensional triphenylamine porous organic nanosheets (TPA-PONs) through a facile liquid-phase exfoliation process. The TPA-PONs, characterized by their exceptional fluorescence properties and nanoscale thickness (1.

The herbicide market is expanding rapidly due to the global increase in herbicide usage. Dairy cows are susceptible to herbicide exposure through the ingestion of contaminated plants, which can adversely affect the mammary gland health and reduce milk production. Dinitramine, a synthetic herbicide in the dinitroaniline family, is typically used to control weeds by inhibiting their sprouting and root development.

The use of herbicides and their long persistence in the environment have raised concerns about potential harm to ecosystems and human health. However, there is a gap in the knowledge regarding the effects of continuous exposure to residues or admitted field doses on non-target organisms such as insects that inhabit croplands and play key ecological roles. Furthermore, the potential impact of this exposure on host-pathogen interactions remains largely unstudied.

Objective: To assess the association of dinitroaniline herbicides as well as their interactions with genetic susceptibility and lifestyle with glucose dysregulation.
Methods: A total of 4310 Chinese urban adults from the baseline of the Wuhan-Zhuhai Cohort were included in the cross-sectional study. A follow-up panel from the cohort was included in the longitudinal study, including 158 participants with 432 observations.

Herbicides are often detected in aquatic ecosystems due to residential and agricultural applications and can harm aquatic organisms once deposited into water systems. Pendimethalin is part of the dinitroaniline chemical family and is applied to crops like corn, legumes, potatoes, and soybeans. The potential toxicity of pendimethalin to aquatic species is understudied compared to other widely studied herbicides, like atrazine and glyphosate.
