We are thrilled to introduce a new series, “EDI case series,” focused on examining and eliminating inequities in the neonatal health care setting. Disparities in birth outcomes for non-white infants have been recognized for decades, but solutions to close this gap remain elusive. We, at , believe that discussions about disparities and inequities in health care, lack of representation, and unconscious bias are an essential first step toward enacting actionable change at the institution level and the health care system level.
