We present a simple and robust laser system for two-color, narrow-line cooling on the Sr (5s)S → (5s5p)P transition. Two hyperfine lines of this transition are addressed simultaneously with light from a single laser source, using sidebands created by an electro-optical phase modulator. A tapered amplifier system provides laser powers up to 90 mW. We show that amplification does not affect the phase modulation of the laser. This compact and robust laser system offers excellent reliability. Therefore, it is especially well suited for transportable and spaceborne optical clocks. The design offers the potential to be miniaturized into a fully integrated package.

This paper presents a multiscale computational model, 'micro-to-meso-to-macro', to simulate polydopamine coated gold nanoparticles (AuNP@PDA) for assisted tumor photothermal therapy (PTT). The optical properties, mainly refractive index, of the PDA unit molecules are calculated using the density functional theory (DFT) method in this multiscale model. Subsequently, the thermodynamic properties, including thermal conductivity and heat capacity, of the PDA cells and AuNP@PDA particles are calculated using molecular dynamics (MD) simulation.

Background And Purpose: infections in India have shifted, with an increase in the incidence rate of invasive candidiasis, particularly due to non- species. The central nervous system infections by are sparsely reported and more understanding and research is needed regarding these infections.
Case Report: This study reported an unusual case of meningitis in a middle-aged female with pulmonary tuberculosis and newly diagnosed acquired immunodeficiency syndrome with a low cluster of differentiation 4 count (12 cells/mm).

Optical physical unclonable functions (PUFs) are gaining attention as a robust security solution for identification in the expanding Internet of Things (IoT). To enhance the security and functionality of PUFs, integrating multiple optical responses─such as fluorescence and structural color─into a single system is essential. These diverse optical properties enable multilevel authentication, where different layers of security can be verified under varying light conditions, greatly reducing the risk of counterfeiting.

High-power tunable lasers are intensely pursued due to their vast application potential such as in telecom, ranging, and molecular sensing. Integrated photonics, however, is usually considered not suitable for high-power applications mainly due to its small size which limits the energy storage capacity and, therefore, the output power. In the late 90s, to improve the beam quality and increase the stored energy, large-mode-area (LMA) fibers were introduced in which the optical mode area is substantially large.

Three-dimensional (3D) imaging technology holds immense potential across various high-tech applications; however, current display technologies are hindered by limitations such as restricted viewing angles, cumbersome headgear, and limited multi-user accessibility. To address these challenges, researchers are actively exploring new materials and techniques for 3D imaging. Laser-based volumetric displays (VDs) offer a promising solution; nonetheless, existing screen materials fall short in meeting key requirements for long-term durability, full-color operation, and scalability.
