Systemic malignancies may have ocular manifestations in the form of metastatic tumors, carcinoma associated retinopathy or central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). Although CRVO has been mentioned in association with renal, lung, prostatic and ovarian malignancies, the association of CRVO with breast carcinoma is unreported. We report a patient with one such rare association. We describe a patient with breast carcinoma who was diagnosed to have CRVO. The history, ocular examination, retinal optical coherence tomography scan, ocular ultrasound scan, hematological profile, mammogram details and aspiration cytology description of the malignant breast lesion are reported in this article. The retina showed extensive hemorrhages and dilated retinal veins. Complete hematologic evaluation revealed the presence of microcytic hypochromic anemia and increased hematocrit. These changes are possibly related to the malignant disease and might contribute to the pathogenesis of CRVO. This case report demonstrates the rare association between breast malignancy and CRVO.

Breast cancer is a significant cause of death from cancer in women globally, highlighting the need for improved diagnostic imaging to enhance patient outcomes. Accurate tumor identification is essential for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring, emphasizing the importance of advanced imaging technologies that provide detailed views of tumor characteristics and disease. Recently, a new imaging modality named synthetic correlated diffusion imaging (CDI) has been showing promise for enhanced prostate cancer delineation when compared to existing MRI imaging modalities.

New tributyltin(IV) complexes containing the carboxylate ligands 3-(4-methyl-2-oxoquinolin-1(2H)-yl)propanoic acid () and 2-(4-methyl-2-oxoquinolin-1(2H)-yl)acetic acid () have been synthesized. Their structures have been determined by elemental microanalysis, FT-IR and multinuclear NMR (H, C and Sn) spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction study. A solution state NMR analysis reveals a four-coordinated tributyltin(IV) complex in non-polar solvents, while an X-Ray crystallographic analysis confirms a five-coordinated trigonal-bipyramidal geometry around the tin atom due to the formation of 1D chains.

Objectives: Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is highly prevalent in patients with breast cancer, resulting in undesirable outcomes and even reduced survival rates. This cross-sectional study investigated the relationship between dietary quality and CRF in patients with breast cancer, and the potential role of gut microbiota (GM) in this association.
Methods: Dietary intake and CRF were evaluated in 342 patients, with 64 fecal samples collected for 16sRNA sequencing and 106 plasma samples for tryptophan (TRP) metabolite determination.

: Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) plays a key role in mediating anti-inflammatory and anticancer effects in the tumor microenvironment. Kaurenoic acid (KA), a diterpene compound isolated from (L.) Pruski, has been demonstrated to exert anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antihuman immunodeficiency virus effects.
