In the present work, high performance liquid chromatography coupled to electrospray ionization and quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-QTOF-MS/MS) has been used for the identification of the major chemical constituents from the fruits of . A total of 31 peaks were identified based on their accurate masses and fragmentation characteristics. Among these 9 acyclic sesquiterpene oligoglycosides and 8 triterpenoid saponins were reported from the fruits of for the first time. This study demonstrates the potential of HPLC-ESI-QTOF-MS/MS for analysis and identification of acyclic sesquiterpene oligoglycosides and triterpenoid saponins.

With enrichment of tetracycline (TC) in ecosystems, its accurate detection has become a major concern. Noble-metal nano-particles have attracted great interest as potential materials for sensing applications because of their remarkable electrical properties and adaptability. Herein, a novel electro-chemical detection technique based on carbon nano-tubes (CNTs) as the support material is developed to detect TC with high precision.

The femtosecond dynamics of energy transfer from light-excited spirilloxanthin (Spx) to bacteriochlorophyll (BChl) a in the reaction centers (RCs) of purple photosynthetic bacteria Rhodospirillum rubrum was studied. According to crio-electron microscopy data, Spx is located near accessory BChl a in the B-branch of cofactors. Spx was excited by 25 fs laser pulses at 490 nm, and difference absorption spectra were recorded in the range 500-700 nm.

The jute hairy caterpillar, Spilosoma obliqua (Lepidoptera: Erebidae) is considered as one of the major threats to jute cultivation. The best eco-friendly methods to combat these jute pests involve administration of nano-biopesticides, as a successful alternative to the toxic chemicals. In this study, a nano-biopesticide formulation containing green synthesized silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) using Ocimum sanctum leaf extract has been proposed.

Refractory disease and relapse are major challenges in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) therapy attributed to survival of leukemic stem cells (LSC). To target LSCs, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) provide an elegant solution, combining the specificity of antibodies with highly potent payloads. We aimed to investigate if FLT3-20D9h3-ADCs delivering either the DNA-alkylator duocarmycin (DUBA) or the microtubule-toxin monomethyl auristatin F (MMAF) can eradicate quiescent LSCs.

The major phytochemicals in the roots of Cudrania tricuspidata are prenylated xanthones, exhibiting significant structural diversity and bioactive properties, such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, and antitumor effects. The biosynthetic pathways of these compounds have not yet been resolved, limiting their production through synthetic biology. In this study, benzoyl-coenzyme A (CoA) ligase (BZL), benzophenone synthase (BPS), and benzophenone 3'-hydroxylase (B3'H) transcripts involved in the biosynthesis of xanthone were cloned and characterized from C.
