The data in this article have been collaborated from mainly four sources- Google Playstore, Wandoujia (third party app store market), AMD and Androzoo. These data include ~85,000 APKs (Android Package Kit), both malicious and benign from these data sources. Static and dynamic features are extracted from these APK files, and then supervised machines learning algorithms are employed for malware detection in Android. This data article also provides the Python code for data analysis. For feature extraction, a generic algorithm has also been incorporated, thereby, selecting important and relevant feature subset. Conclusive results obtained from this data set are further comprehended and interpreted in our latest research study "A Novel Parallel Classifier Scheme for Vulnerability Detection in Android" (Garg et al., 2018). This proved to be precious contribution for ensembling classifiers in machine learning to detect malware in Android.

Background And Aims: Coronary angiography-derived wall shear stress (WSS) may enable identification of vulnerable plaques and patients. A new recently introduced software allows seamless three-dimensional quantitative coronary angiography (3D-QCA) reconstruction and WSS computation within a single user-friendly platform carrying promise for clinical applications. This study examines for the first time the efficacy of this software in detecting vulnerable lesions in patients with intermediate non-flow limiting stenoses.

Copper is an essential nutrient for sustaining vital cellular processes spanning respiration, metabolism, and proliferation. However, loss of copper homeostasis, particularly misregulation of loosely bound copper ions which are defined as the labile copper pool, occurs in major diseases such as cancer, where tumor growth and metastasis have a heightened requirement for this metal. To help decipher the role of copper in the etiology of cancer, we report a histochemical activity-based sensing approach that enables systematic, high-throughput profiling of labile copper status across many cell lines in parallel.

Baleen whales are among the largest marine megafauna, and while mostly well-protected from direct exploitation, they are increasingly affected by vessel traffic, interactions with fisheries, and climate change. Adverse interactions, notably vessel strikes and fishing gear entanglement, often result in distress, injury, or death for these animals. In Atlantic Canadian waters, such negative interactions or 'incidents' are consistently reported to marine animal response organizations but have not yet been analyzed relative to the spatial distribution of whales and vessels.

Background: Previous studies on the prevalence and prognosis of nutritional status in valvular heart disease (VHD) were primarily limited to aortic stenosis. The nutritional status of other types of VHDs remained an underexplored area.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of malnutrition risk in different types of VHD and investigate the association between malnutrition risk and adverse clinical events.

Chloride is the most abundant anion in cells and plays many critical roles in maintaining cellular homeostasis. However, current chloride indicators are rare with inherent sensitivity in their emission properties, such as vulnerability to pH changes or short emission lifetimes. These limitations restrict their application in aqueous media and imaging.
