Objective: A partnership between three nursing programs, multiple high-needs public school districts and a local asthma coalition was developed as a way to build shared capacity aimed at improving health outcomes for children with asthma. This article explores student perceptions of their clinical experiences teaching asthma self-management within a regional cross-sector, community-based, multi-site academic-practice partnership.
Design: Nursing faculty from three Long Island, New York-based nursing programs within the partnership jointly created a qualitative focus group methodology to more fully understand the phenomena of interest. A set of open-ended interview questions guided the sessions.
Sample: Through purposive sampling, 42 undergraduate nursing students participated in 60-min focus group sessions.
Measurement: Focus group data were transcribed. Content analysis, coding, and theme development was carried out collaboratively. The unit of analysis was the individual participant responses informed by group interaction. A researcher diary was maintained.
Results: One overarching theme and three sub-themes emerged from the data, reflecting student understandings in the areas of positioning, professional/personal identity, and social awareness. Ongoing analysis revealed patterns across the data sets linking student learning and the goals, milieu and workings of the partnership.
Conclusions: Findings suggest that the context of a thriving community-based academic-practice partnership, established to improve population health outcomes, offered unique clinical learning opportunities for students through exposure to the values, ideas, and innovation of the partnership itself.

Objective: This ancillary study's purpose is to describe the relationship between dose of treatment and body mass index (BMI) outcomes in a tele-behavioral health program delivered in the IDeA States Pediatric Clinical Trials Network to children and their families living in rural communities.
Methods: Participants randomized to the intervention were able to receive 26 contact hours (15 hr of group sessions and 11 hr of individual sessions) of material focused on nutrition, physical activity, and behavioral caregiver training delivered via interactive televideo. Dose of the intervention received by child/caregiver dyads (n = 52) from rural areas was measured as contact hours.

Objective: to understand the perception of teachers and health professionals regarding the use of the Play Nicely Program for parents/caregivers in the prevention of violence against children.
Method: a descriptive and exploratory qualitative study was conducted through three focus groups with twenty primary school teachers and primary health care professionals who implemented the Program for parents/caregivers in 2022. This article describes the construction and validation of an instruction manual geared toward nutritional care (NC) for people with severe obesity in the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). In the production of this instruction manual, a broad literature review was conducted for the identification and discussion of topics to be treated. The content and appearance validity were conducted according to the Delphi technique and to focus groups, respectively, with evaluators who were nutritionists and practitioners, from different regions of Brazil.

The Homeless Population (HP) has grown exponentially in the last decade, causing different challenges for the Brazilian Unified Health System, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional, descriptive, and exploratory study, with triangulated quantitative and qualitative methods, was conducted from 2020 to 2022, exploring care practices geared to the HP in Belo Horizonte. The quantitative stage adopted official datasets from the health and social assistance secretariats, and 48 semi-structured interviews and four focus groups were conducted in the qualitative stage, totaling 86 participants.
