A strategy for fabricating zirconium oxide doped nanoporous carbons derived from metal-organic gels (MOGs) is reported. For the first time, the achievement of metastable ZrO2-NPCs is demonstrated. The direct pyrolysis of MOGs provided new perspective in developing metal oxide-doped NPCs and circumvented the shortcomings of existing methods in synthesizing metastable ZrO2 doped NPCs.

Compared to traditional liquid electrolytes, solid electrolytes have received widespread attention due to their higher safety. In this work, a vinyl functionalized metal-organic framework porous material (MIL-101(Cr)-NH-Met, noted as MCN-M) is synthesized by postsynthetic modification. A novel three-dimensional hybrid gel composite solid electrolyte (GCSE-P/MCN-M) is successfully prepared via in situ gel reaction of a mixture containing multifunctional hybrid crosslinker (MCN-M), lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI), ethylene carbonate (EC), diethylene glycol monomethyl ether methacrylate (EGM) and polyethylene (vinylidene fluoridee) (PVDF).

This study presents the development of zirconium polycarboxylate gel systems as substrates for advanced fluorescence sensing devices. Zirconium-based metal-organic gels (MOGs) offer a promising alternative due to the robustness of the Zr-O bond, which provides enhanced chemical stability. In this work, zirconium polycarboxylate gels were synthesized using green solvents in a rapid room temperature method.

Severe skin damage resulting from acute trauma is often accompanied by uncontrolled bleeding, microbial infections, and delayed wound healing. Herein, multifunctional sprayable hydrogels (CT-CS-ZIF@CIP Gel) were developed for wound management by incorporating antibacterial nanoplatforms (CT-CS-ZIF@CIP) into photocurable gels consisting of chitosan methacrylate and gallic acid grafted gelatin. The nanoplatform was initially constructed by sequentially loading CuSe (CS) and ciprofloxacin-decorated zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF@CIP) onto Cu-doped Ti MOF (CT), in which CS served as a photothermal agent, ZIF enabled pH-responsive release of CIP, and CT acted as carriers for CS and ZIF@CIP.
