Transport inhibitor response 1/auxin signaling f-box proteins TIR1/AFBs) play important roles in the process of plant growth and development as auxin receptors. To date, no information has been available about the characteristics of the gene family in var. . In this study, 18 genes were identified and could be clustered into six groups. The genes are located in 11 of 18 chromosomes in the genome of var. , and similar gene structures are found for each of those genes. Several -elements related to plant response to phytohormones, biotic stresses, and abiotic stresses are found in the promoter of genes. The results of qPCR analysis show that most genes have differential patterns of expression among six tissues, with the expression levels of some of the genes repressed by salt stress treatment. Some of the genes are also responsive to pathogen b treatment. This study provides valuable information for further studies as to the role of genes in the regulation of plant growth, development, and response to abiotic stress.

Winter barley (Hordeum vulgare) production areas in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River are severely threatened by barley yellow mosaic disease, which is caused by Barley yellow mosaic virus and Barley mild mosaic virus. Improving barley disease resistance in breeding programs requires knowledge of genetic loci in germplasm resources. In this study, bulked segregant analysis (BSA) identified a novel major quantitative trait loci (QTL) QRym.

Objective: To examine the role and diagnostic potential of miR-421 in prostate cancer (PCa).
Methods: Expression data and clinical information for miR-421 were obtained from the TCGA and Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) databases. Experimental validation was performed at the cellular, blood, and tissue levels to confirm miR-421 expression and its association with clinicopathological features.

Studying complexes of cryptic or pseudocryptic species opens new horizons for the understanding of speciation processes, an important yet vague issue for the digeneans. We investigated a hemiuroidean trematode across a wide geographic range including the northern European seas (White, Barents, and Pechora), East Siberian Sea, and the Pacific Northwest (Sea of Okhotsk and Sea of Japan). The goals were to explore the genetic diversity within through mitochondrial ( and genes) and ribosomal (ITS1, ITS2, 28S rDNA) marker sequences, to study morphometry of maritae, and to revise the life cycle data.

We investigated if selected polymorphisms in DNA repair genes modify the association between exposure to particulate matter ≤ 10 micron in diameter (PM) and breast cancer (BCa) risk. We included 150,929 postmenopausal women (5,969 with BCa) from UK Biobank, a population-based prospective cohort. Cancer diagnoses were ascertained through the linkage to the UK National Health Service Central Registers.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), the most predominant subtype of esophageal cancer, is notorious for its high lymph node metastatic potential and poor prognosis. Growing evidence has demonstrated crucial function of circRNAs in human malignancies. However, the knowledge of circRNAs in lymph node metastasis of ESCC is still inadequate.
