The world experience of coronary artery bypass surgery using an operating microscope is reviewed in the article. Important role of operating microscope and microsurgical techniques for coronary anastomoses formation is shown. High optical magnification provided by operating microscope directly affects the quality of surgical technique and accuracy of coronary anastomoses suturing that affects postoperative graft patency. Thus, the use of operating microscope can affect the results of coronary artery bypass surgery, as shown in several reports.

Carcinogenesis encompasses processes that lead to increased mutation rates, enhanced cellular division (tumour growth), and invasive growth. Colorectal cancer (CRC) carcinogenesis in carriers of pathogenic APC (path_APC) and pathogenic mismatch repair gene (path_MMR) variants is initiated by a second hit affecting the corresponding wild-type allele. In path_APC carriers, second hits result in the development of multiple adenomas, with CRC typically emerging after an additional 20 years.

Background: Short dentin etching, a relatively recent technique, aims to improve resin-dentin bonding by preserving hydroxyapatite crystals within the collagen spaces. This study explores short dentin etching's potential in mitigating over-etching issues in deep proximal dentin/cementum margins, an aspect not previously investigated. This study evaluates the microtensile bond strength (μTBS) and marginal adaptation of two universal adhesives using different etch-and-rinse strategies (15-second and 3-second etching) and self-etch strategies, both immediate and post-thermal cycling and mechanical loading.

This study assesses the survival benefits of adjuvant chemotherapy after surgical resection with a novel focus on tumors less than 1 cm.
Materials And Methods: Data from the National Cancer Database (NCDB) was extracted for patients with SCLC (n = 11,962) and LCNEC (n = 6821) who underwent surgical resection between 2004 and 2020.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a widely used class of synthetic chemicals that pose a significant global environmental and health threat due to their persistent and bioaccumulation toxicity caused by strong C-F bonds in their structures. PFAS usually exist in trace concentrations in environmental water bodies, which poses great challenges for environmental analysis. In this study, environmentally friendly cellulose was modified with polyaniline through in situ oxidative polymerization, and used as the filter paper for solid-phase extracting 23 PFAS in water.
