: Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is an inflammatory, fatal aortic disease that currently lacks any effective drugs. Cryptotanshinone (CTS) is a prominent and inexpensive bioactive substance derived from , a well-known medicinal herb for treating cardiovascular diseases through its potent anti-inflammatory properties. Nevertheless, the therapeutic effect of CTS on AAA formation remains unknown.

Polyetheretherketone is a promising material for implants due to its good mechanical properties and excellent biocompatibility. Its accessibility to a wide range of applications is facilitated by the ability to process it with an easy-to-use manufacturing process such as fused filament fabrication. The elimination of disadvantages associated with the manufacturing process, such as a poor surface quality, is a main challenge to deal with.

Objectives: To evaluate the trueness of dental arches digitised by two intraoral scanning (IOS) technologies from patients presenting crowding, diastema, and bilateral posterior edentulous space with tilted molar.
Methods: Conventional impressions and dental stone models were generated from three patients presenting the aforementioned dental arch conditions. These models were digitised on a desktop scanner, and the resulting mesh was used as reference.

Objective: Most endodontic diseases are bacterium-mediated inflammatory or necrotic process induced by contaminated dental pulp. Although great advances are being performed to obtain more efficient antibacterial strategies for persistent infections, most studies lack of representative models to test their antibacterial effects and their outcomes cannot be promptly translated to clinical practice. Therefore, this study aimed to refine an ex vivo endodontic biofilm model combining human tooth, computer guided design and 3D printing to obtain a more reproducible and predictable model.

To evaluate, in vitro, the efficiency of a novel apparatus to test the adherence and penetration of bacteria on different membranes for guided regeneration. To create the 3D device, Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems were used. Three types of biomaterials were tested ( = 6): (DT) a collagen membrane; (DS) a polymer membrane; and (LP) a dense polytetrafluoroethylene barrier.
