Daily experiences often involve the processing of multiple sequences, yet storing them challenges the limited capacity of working memory (WM). To achieve efficient memory storage, relational structures shared by sequences would be leveraged to reorganize and compress information. Here, participants memorized a sequence of items with different colors and spatial locations and later reproduced the full color and location sequences one after another.

Oral immunotherapy (OIT) is a recent and evolving therapeutic option for the treatment of immunoglobulin E (IgE) mediated food allergies. Clinical practice guidelines are starting to emerge to establish the parameters of this new clinical offer. A comparative analysis reveals several areas of consensus, such as the need for an accurate diagnosis with immunoglobulin E testing and, if necessary, open food challenge before initiating therapy; a list of specific contraindications; the importance of performing OIT in an adequate setting with appropriate level of expertise; the possibility to use grocery products to perform OIT; and the need to adapt protocols to patient needs.

Introduction: Declines in instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) have been proposed as a prodromal marker of Parkinson's disease (PD). The Cleveland Clinic Virtual Reality Shopping (CC-VRS) platform combines an omnidirectional treadmill with a virtual reality headset to create a virtual grocery store that a user physically walks through and completes a shopping task. The primary aim of this project was to determine the known-group validity of the CC-VRS platform in discriminating IADL performance and to characterize specific motor and cognitive declines responsible for PD-related IADL impairments.
