Eponyms highlight the contributions made to medicine over the years, and celebrate individuals for their work involving diseases, pathologies, and anatomical landmarks. We have compiled an in-depth report of eponyms used in skull base neurosurgery, as well as the historical contexts of the personalities behind the names. A literature search identified 36 eponyms of the bones, foramina and ligaments of the skull base named after anatomists and physician-scientists.

Etopic tooth eruption is the occurrence of the tooth germ in a nonanatomical position. It can be associated with dentigerous cyst, which is the second most seen in the development of odontogenic cyst commonly presented in mandibular region and seen in single form. It is usually accompanied with mandibular third molar followed by canine.

The transantral or ectopic infraorbital canal (IOC) courses diagonally through the maxillary sinus (MS), thereby being exposed to risk during a number of surgical procedures. A few prior reports have presented evidence of a septa-embedded IOC, albeit only on single-plane slices. We identified this extremely rare variation of the IOC during a retrospective study of the cone-beam computed tomography files of 2 patients.

Introduction: Ectopic eruptions of a tooth in a non-dentate region is a rare entity and such cases have been reported to occur in the nasal cavity, orbital floor, maxillary sinus, mandibular condyle, chin, palate and coronoid process.
Case Presentation: We report a case of bilateral ectopic eruption of maxillary third molars associated dentigerous cyst. A 27 years old female patient reported to us with chief complaint of purulent discharge form nose and recurrent facial swelling for last 2 years.
