In the course of pipe jacking construction, the carrying-soil effect frequently arises, influenced by factors such as excavation unloading, ongoing disturbance from successive pipe sections, and the progressive accumulation of soil adhesion. The pipe jacking slurry serves as a critical agent for friction reduction and strata support, essential for the secure advancement of the construction process. This study introduces the Microbial-Induced Calcium Carbonate Precipitation (MICP) technology into the realm of pipe jacking slurry, aiming to enhance its friction-reduction capabilities and the stability of the soil enveloping the pipe.

Background: To explore the mechanism of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) intervention on acute lung injury secondary to snake venom poisoning and provide more toxicological and clinical evidence for venom poisoning.
Methods: Male Kunming mice (n = 96) were randomly divided into four groups: the control group which was not given any interventional treatments, venom group in which each mouse was injected with venom (1 mg/kg) through the tail vein, antivenom group in which each mouse was injected with anti- venom immediately after the model was successfully established, and HBO+antivenom group in which each mouse was given HBO treatment at 1 h, 5 h, 11 h and 23 h following the injection of antivenom. Lung tissues of mice were obtained and processed for the detection of the lung coefficient, the levels of inflammatory factors such as interleukin (IL)-6, IL-10 and IL-17, and the protein expression of retinoic acid receptor (RAR)-related orphan receptor gamma (RORγt) and forkhead box P3 (FOXP3).

Purpose: Optical tracking devices (OTDs) hold promise for enhancing patient-centered prostheses, but their efficacy remains underexplored. This clinical study aimed to comprehensively evaluate differences in static and dynamic occlusions among occlusal appliances fabricated using optical tracking, conventional tracking, and average articulator values (AAVs), providing insights into their efficacy in clinical and research-based practices.
Materials And Methods: Twelve dentate participants aged over 25 years, with Angle Class I and II occlusal relationships, were enrolled.

Objective: Research is lacking examining the effect of malocclusion on tooth loss. The aim of this study was to analyze the possible impact of moderate and severe malocclusions on tooth loss over the course of twenty years.
Material And Methods: Of 1269 subjects aged between 25 and 49 years with at least 20 teeth of the population-based Study of Health in Pomerania in Germany, malocclusions were initially assessed according to a German orthodontic index of treatment priority between 1997 and 2001.

Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is an autosomal dominant disease that affects the teeth and the musculoskeletal system. Orthodontic treatment in OI patients may be risky due to the fragility of dental hard tissues. Clear aligners may be considered a suitable orthodontic treatment method for these patients.
