We have been studying the (Σπ) mass distribution based on data from an old Hydrogen Bubble Chamber collected by Thomas et al. concerning the p(π, K)Σπ reaction at p = 1.69 GeV/c. In this analysis we investigated the formation of the Λ(1405) state, using the Generalized Optical Theorem and T-matrix operator. We applied a combined transition operator, T, which contains T (=T) and T (= T) due to the initial channel mixing in the Λ(1405) formation. We also considered a possible mixture of I = 0 and 1 in the wave function, as well as some background of the Σ(1385) population.

Background: Cryptosporidium spp., Giardia duodenalis, and Enterocytozoon bieneusi are important zoonotic pathogens. In Inner Mongolia, a single pathogen molecular epidemiological survey of these three protozoa was previously conducted on only 176 fecal samples donkeys.

Background: The prompt and accurate identification of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is crucial for preventing its progression into more severe neurodegenerative diseases. However, current diagnostic solutions, such as biomarkers and cognitive screening tests, prove costly, time-consuming, and invasive, hindering patient compliance and the accessibility of these tests. Therefore, exploring a more cost-effective, efficient, and noninvasive method to aid clinicians in detecting MCI is necessary.

Catalase-assembled nanoparticles for PA/CT dual-modality imaging and repair of acute alcoholic gastritis.

State Key Laboratory of Radiation Medicine and Protection, School for Radiological and Interdisciplinary Sciences (RAD-X), Soochow University, 199 Renai Road, Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou 215123, China.

The development of simple, rapid, sensitive and noninvasive theranostic agents for acute gastritis is crucial. Herein, an engineering catalase-conjugated bismuth nanoparticle was fabricated for near-infrared photoacoustic imaging and computed tomography imaging of acute alcoholic gastritis. This nanoparticle could quickly respond to HO and H overexpressed in the microenvironment of acute gastritis in mice, emitting strong signals for precise localization.

The space charge effect induced by high-quality heterojunctions is essential for efficient electrocatalytic processes. Herein, we delicately manipulate intermolecular charge transfer by modifying substituents (-g = -CH3, -H, -NO2) with various electron donating/withdrawing capabilities in CoPc-g/CoS organic-inorganic heterostructures. CoPc-CH3, as a typical electron donor, transfers more electrons to CoS due to the presence of -CH3, forming the strongest space electric field and thus regulating the dual active sites at the interface.

Although the use of biochar as an adsorbent for the removal of various pollutants from wastewater is well established, the use of biochar/modified biochar for the scavenging of antibiotics from aqueous media in the Fenton-like system receives less attention. The highest kasugamycin (KSM) adsorption capacity (5.0 mg g) was obtained from the pristine biochar at the lowest initial pH of 3 in Fenton-like system.
