Purpose: Interest in prehabilitation, the preoperative enhancement of patients' condition, is rising in the surgical field. Challenging factors appear to be patients' motivation to participate in and their compliance with prehabilitation programs. The aim of this qualitative study was to study the real-life experience of prehabilitation by assessing the lived experience and perceptions of participants in a multimodal prehabilitation program and to explore factors that influence participation and compliance during prehabilitation.

Osteoporotic fracture is a special type of pathological fracture characterized by high morbidity, high disability, high mortality and low diagnosis and treatment rate. Currently, the main problem with clinical intervention for osteoporotic fractures is the lack of proper understanding by doctors (especially orthopedic surgeons) of the pathologic changes in the disease itself. Aggressive surgical treatment is very important, but it cannot fundamentally solve the serious consequences of delayed healing of osteoporotic fractures and the occurrence of re-fractures.

Complete eradication of aggressive head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) still remains a major challenging problem due to numerous resistance properties of cancer stem cells (CSC) which is crucially responsible for tumor recurrence and metastasis. This challenge causes a high demand for the emergence of novel targeted treatment modalities for improved therapeutic efficacies. Phytochemicals derived from plants proves to be a wide reservoir of important drug candidates which have the potential to impede multiple aspects of malignant growth and progression.
