Our knowledge about the biology of malignant growth has changed. The tumor cell is not absolutely autonomous. The reactions of the host organism are important (e.g. hormone-dependent tumors). The so-called alternative medicine has always been of this opinion. Some of its methods seem worthy of consideration in cases where surgery, X-ray therapy and cytostatics have doubtful results.

Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) encompass a diverse set of malignancies with limited precision therapy options. Recently, therapies targeting DLL3 have shown clinical efficacy in aggressive NENs, including small cell lung cancers and neuroendocrine prostate cancers. Background: Breast cancer is the leading cause of female cancer mortality worldwide, accounting for 1 in 6 cancer deaths. Surgery, radiation, and systemic therapy are the three pillars of breast cancer treatment, with several strategies developed to combine them. Gene fusions involving JAZF1 are a recurrent event in low grade endometrial stromal sarcoma, and have been more recently described in few instances of endometrial stromal sarcoma-like tumors in the genitourinary tract of men. In this article, we describe a previously unreported spindle cell sarcoma harboring an in-frame JAZF1::NUDT5 gene fusion, arising in the chest wall of a 51-year-old man. The tumor had unique morphologic features resembling both endometrial stromal sarcoma and endometrial stromal sarcoma-like tumors, consisting of a mixture of cytologically bland and pleomorphic spindle cells with brisk mitotic activity, within an alternating myxoid and fibrous stroma.

Microwave ablation (MWA) is emerging as a highly effective treatment for colorectal liver metastases (CRLMs). This review explores the advantages of MWA compared to other ablative techniques such as radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation and highlights its clinical efficacy, safety, and technical considerations. MWA offers significant benefits, including higher intratumoral temperatures, larger ablation zones, and reduced susceptibility to the heat-sink effect, which make it particularly suitable for tumors near large blood vessels.
