Introduction: Stroke is a leading cause of mortality and morbidity, demanding prompt and accurate identification. However, prehospital diagnosis is challenging, with up to 50% of suspected strokes having other diagnoses. A prehospital video triage (PHVT) system was piloted in Greater Manchester to improve prehospital diagnostic accuracy and appropriate conveyance decisions.

Unlabelled: Introduction y objectives: Tako-tsubo syndrome (TTS) is a cardiac condition that mimics acute coronary syndrome, characterized by transient left ventricular dysfunction in the absence of culprit coronary artery stenosis. Although its etiology remains unknown, reversible microvascular dysfunction secondary to an adrenergic surge is thought to play a role. Treatment is empirical, although most patients receive beta-blockers (BB) in clinical practice.

Transient disruption or permanent damage to the left Frontal Aslant Tract (FAT) is associated with deficits in speech production. The present study examined the application of theta (4Â Hz) high-definition transcranial alternating current stimulation (HD-tACS) over the left SMA and IFG -as a part of FAT- as a potential multisite protocol to modulate neural and behavioral correlates of speech motor control. Twenty-one young adults participated in three counterbalanced sessions in which they received in-phase, anti-phase, and sham theta HD-tACS.

Background/aim: Transient ischaemic attack (TIA) is characterised by a temporary neurological dysfunction resulting from focal ischaemia in the brain, spinal cord or retina without acute infarction. These episodes typically last less than 24 hours and are significant predictors of subsequent ischaemic strokes. Hypertension is a major risk factor for cerebrovascular events, and primary aldosteronism (PA) is recognised as a common cause of secondary hypertension.
