Purpose: To measure peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and posterior pole retinal thickness in primary angle-closure suspects (PACS) by Spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and to be compared with normal subjects.

Methods: Thirty five primary angle-closure suspect patients and thirty normal subjects were enrolled in this study. Peripapillary RNFL and posterior pole retinal thickness by posterior pole asymmetry analysis (PPAA) in SD-OCT were measured.

Results: No significant difference was found in both groups on age, sex distribution, refractive error, intraocular pressure (IOP) and axial length. The PACS group exhibited significantly thinner macular retinal thickness and larger asymmetry on posterior pole region compared with the control group. Yet no significant difference of peripapillary RNFL parameters was found between PACS group and normal control group. A negative correlation was observed between the total retinal thickness on posterior pole region and age when all the PACS participants were analyzed.

Conclusions: Posterior pole retinal thickness measurements obtained by Heidelberg Spectralis SD-OCT using PPAA showed significant thinner change in PACS group than healthy controls. Only age seemed to be an indicator in the occurrence of glaucomatous damage in PACS patients.

Objective: Inferior pole patellar fractures (IPPFs) pose a significant challenge due to their complex fracture patterns and high risk of complications associated with current treatment methods. This study aims to (1) characterize the fracture patterns of IPPFs using fracture mapping and (2) compare the biomechanical stability and clinical outcomes of treatment with anchor suture with patellar cerclage versus Kirschner-wire tension band combined with patellar cerclage.

Methods: (1) A retrospective analysis was conducted on 61 patients with IPPF.

Objectives: The objective of this study is to measuring the morphology and position of bilateral temporomandibular joints in patients with unilateral and bilateral molar scissor bite and simulating the deformation of the mandible during occlusion, in order to provide thesis for the diagnosis of temporomandibular joint disease in patients with unilateral and bilateral molar scissor bite.

Methods: This study was a retrospective study. A total of 10 patients with unilateral molar scissor bite (the unilateral molar scissor bite group) and 10 patients with bilateral molar scissor bite (the bilateral molar scissor bite group) were selected as the experimental group, and 20 adult patients with classⅠ of angle classification of similar ages were selected as the control group.

Short video addiction (SVA) has emerged as a growing behavioral and social issue, driven by the widespread use of digital platforms that provide highly engaging, personalized, and brief video content. We investigated the neuroanatomical and functional substrates of SVA symptoms, alongside brain transcriptomic and cellular characteristics, using Inter-Subject Representational Similarity Analysis (IS-RSA) and transcriptomic approaches. Behaviorally, we found that dispositional envy was associated with SVA.
