Disrupting the interaction between tumor-cell surface PD-L1 and T cell membrane PD-1 can elicit durable clinical responses. However, only about 10% of ovarian cancer patients respond to PD-1/PD-L1 blockade. Here, we show that PD-L1 expression in ovarian cancer-patient tumors is predominantly intracellular.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a significant global public health concern, particularly in China, which accounts for one-third of the world's chronic HBV cases. Over the past three decades, China has made substantial progress in controlling HBV infection. Currently, the vaccination rate of the three-dose hepatitis B vaccine in China has risen to 99.

Four out of five patients with autoimmune diseases are women. The XIST ribonucleoprotein (RNP) complex, comprising the female-specific long noncoding RNA XIST and over 100 associated proteins, may drive several autoimmune diseases that disproportionately affect women, who have elevated levels of autoantibodies against the XIST RNP. However, the structural distribution, potential origin, and clinical significance of XIST RNP autoantibodies remained unexplored.

Background: A new circulating biomarker superior to carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) is needed for diagnosing pancreatobiliary cancer (PBca). The aim of this study was to identify serum microRNA (miRNA) signatures comprising reproducible and disease-related miRNAs.
Methods: This multicenter study involved patients with treatment-naïve PBca and healthy participants.

Circular RNA (circRNA) has gained attention as a promising platform for mRNA vaccines due to its stability, sustained protein expression, and intrinsic immunostimulatory properties. This study aimed to design and optimize a circRNA cancer vaccine platform by screening for efficient internal ribosome entry sites (IRES) and enhancing circRNA translation efficiency for improved cancer immunotherapy. We screened 29 IRES elements to identify the most efficient one for immune cell translation, ultimately discovering the A (EV-A) IRES.
