Elbow synovial cysts are rare and can mimic more frequently encountered disorders such as lateral epicondylitis, presenting diagnostic challenges. This report describes a woman in her mid-40s with persistent pain and weakness in her right forearm due to a synovial cyst compressing the radial nerve at the Arcade of Frohse. Despite initial suspicions of lateral epicondylitis, deeper investigation using sonography confirmed the presence of a compressive synovial cyst.

Background: Interphalangeal joint (IPJ) arthrodesis and arthroplasty are mainstay treatments for IPJ arthritis with conflicting evidence about the most efficacious choice. Our study describes case volume and incidence over the last decade (2010-2019).
Methods: The IBM MarketScan database was queried using Current Procedural Terminology codes for IPJ arthrodesis and arthroplasty from January 2010 to December 2019.

Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumours (MPNSTs) are aggressive sarcomas that occur rarely in the cervix. Considering the varied clinical features and the absence of a pathognomonic immunohistochemical marker, it is always challenging to diagnose these tumours. Treatment has not been standardised as yet, but a combination of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy is used to treat MPNSTs of the cervix.

A woman in her 40s with a history of depression, diabetes, zinc deficiency and gastric bypass surgery presented to the emergency department following the intentional ingestion of ninety 50 mg tablets of zinc sulfate. She exhibited gastrointestinal distress without systemic toxicity. Imaging revealed radiopaque tablets in the abdomen, and her management was primarily supportive, focusing on symptom control and hydration.

A nulliparous woman in her 40s is referred to gynaecological oncology secondary to umbilical pain and bleeding with menses. Examination revealed a blood-filled cystic mass within an umbilical hernia consistent with umbilical endometrioma. The patient exhausted medical management options, then pursued surgical management via umbilectomy, excision of umbilical endometriosis, lysis of adhesions and umbilical hernia repair.
