Changing environmental conditions necessitate rapid adaptation of cytoplasmic and nuclear volumes. We use the slime mold Dictyostelium discoideum, known for its ability to tolerate extreme changes in osmolarity, to assess which role nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) play in achieving nuclear volume adaptation and relieving mechanical stress. We capitalize on the unique properties of D.

Introduction: Medication regimen complexity may be an important risk factor for adverse outcomes in older adults with heart failure. However, increasing complexity is often necessary when prescribing guideline-directed medical therapy at the time of a heart failure hospitalization. We sought to determine whether increased medication regimen complexity following a heart failure hospitalization was associated with worse post-hospitalization outcomes.

: Extensive research has emphasised the persistent challenges and failures in providing hospitalised patients with fundamental evidence-based nursing care, often resulting in grave consequences for patient safety. Recommendations from implementation research indicate that a tailored theory- and research-based implementation strategy targeting contextual determinants can optimise the implementation of evidence-based clinical practice for the benefit of patients. This study evaluated the feasibility of an implementation strategy designed to improve the quality of nursing care by targeting behavioural and environmental barriers in a hospital setting.

Lung cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnosed worldwide and is also among the most fatal. Early detection, before symptoms become evident, is fundamental for patients' survival. Therefore, several lung cancer biomarkers have been proposed to enable a prompt diagnosis, including neuron-specific enolase (NSE) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA).

Aquaculture plays an important role in the global economy. However, unscientific feeding methods often lead to problems such as feed waste and water pollution. This study aims to address this issue by accurately recognizing fish feeding behaviors to provide automatic bait casting machines with scientific feeding strategies, thereby reducing farming costs.
