The purpose was to establish a ranking of the 50 most cited articles about wrist surgery and analyse their features. Science Citation Index Expanded was used to identify the 50 most frequently cited orthopaedic journal articles written in English, searching for the topic "wrist surgery" in the subject category ''Orthopaedics''. Then, we analysed the number of citations, citation density, authorship, article institution, the year of publication, the country of origin of the article, name and impact factor of the journal, and publication type of the article. The 50 most cited articles were published in only 6 of the 74 journals included under the category "orthopaedics". Citation count ranged from 256 for the first one to 67 for the 50th article. Most of them were written by American authors. These articles were published between 1991 and 2011. "Distal Radius Fractures" was the most common issue. This type of bibliographic analysis could be particularly useful for other young Authors who would like to improve their research in wrist and hand surgery and make their publications more citable and appreciated by the scientific community.

Objective: to evaluate the research status and development hotspots of fetal α-thalassemia by quantitatively analyzing the diagnostic status, key areas, related management measures and prospects of the disease by bibliometrics.
Methods: The global literature on fetal α-thalassemia and severe α-thalassemia from 2009-2023 in the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) was visually analyzed by VOSviewer and CiteSpace.
Results: (1) The examination of the quantity of publications concerning fetal α-thalassemia indicates a rising tendency prior to 2018, followed by a decrease after 2018.

Background: Although chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) are the same biologic disease entity and warrant identical treatment approaches, patients with SLL have frequently been excluded from clinical trials in CLL.
Methods: This study assessed the representation of patients with SLL among Phase II or III clinical trials cited in the 2024 National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) treatment guidelines.
Results: Patients with SLL were explicitly eligible for only 21 (38%) of the 56 clinical trials for CLL, comprising 222 (6%) of the 3440 enrolled patients.
