The use of a fully digital approach to fabricate an anatomic contour crown to fit an existing removable prosthesis allows the dentist and the dental laboratory technician to work efficiently in a digital environment. This report presents a series of patient treatments involving the fabrication of an anatomic contour monolithic zirconia crown to retrofit an existing removable partial denture. A complete digital workflow comprises an intraoral digital scan and computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) technology.

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) has emerged as a revolutionary material in modern dentistry because of its unique combination of mechanical strength, biocompatibility, and versatility. This literature review examines the current applications and future potential of PEEK in various dental disciplines. PEEK's favorable properties, including its low specific weight, high strength-to-weight ratio, and ability to be easily machined, have led to its adoption in prosthetics, implantology, and dental esthetic restorations.

Clear guidelines for therapeutic apheresis in children after renal transplant do not exist. This article reviews the current experiences with therapeutic apheresis in pediatric transplant recipients. The ideal characteristics of removable substances should have all of the following criteria for an effective therapeutic apheresis: large molecular weight (>15 kDa), prolonged half-life, rapid elimination from the plasma, high intravascular distribution, and low turnover rate.
