Introduction: Placental DNA methylation differences have been associated with timing in gestation and pregnancy complications. Maternal cell-free DNA (cfDNA) partly originates from the placenta and could enable the minimally invasive study of placental DNA methylation dynamics. We will for the first time longitudinally investigate cfDNA methylation during pregnancy by using Methylated DNA Sequencing (MeD-seq), which is compatible with low cfDNA levels and has an extensive genome-wide coverage.

Purpose: HER2 expression is crucial for the application of HER2-targeted antibody-drug conjugates. This study aims to construct a predictive model by integrating multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) based multimodal radiomics and the Vesical Imaging-Reporting and Data System (VI-RADS) score for noninvasive identification of HER2 status in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BUC).
Methods: A total of 197 patients were retrospectively enrolled and randomly divided into a training cohort (n = 145) and a testing cohort (n = 52).

Background: Noninvasive tests (NITs) to monitor metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) progression and response to interventions are needed because of the risks of liver biopsy. A monocytes-based diagnostic test using perilipin-2 (PLIN2) and Ras-related protein-14 (RAB14) predict the severity of MASH and fibrosis. Here we compared the performances of PLIN2 and RAB14 with cytokeratin-18 (CK18) assessed by Ella™ or M65 ELISA in predicting MASH and fibrosis resolution following bariatric surgery in a longitudinal and histologically characterized cohort of individuals with obesity.

Alloimmunization during pregnancy occurs when a mother produces antibodies against fetal antigens, leading to complications like hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN) and fetal and neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (FNAIT). HDFN involves destruction of fetal red blood cells, potentially causing severe anemia, hydrops fetalis, and fetal death. FNAIT affects fetal platelets and possibly endothelial cells, resulting in risk of intracranial hemorrhage and brain damage.

Background: This research introduces a novel method for quantifying aggregated tau in body fluids, specifically cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), aiming to enhance the diagnosis and monitoring of neurodegenerative diseases, with a focus on Alzheimer's disease (AD).
Method: By combining tau protein amplification with a highly sensitive single-molecule array (Simoa) immunoassay using an anti-tau antibody CT19.1 in a homogenous manner, the approach enables precise measurements of tau aggregates in CSF.
