The article analyzes the frequency of consumption of sweet carbonated beverages by various age groups (from 12 to 60 years) of the population of all Federal districts of Russian Federation. The presence of general regularities in the frequency of consumption of these drinks, regardless of the region, was established. About 5-8% of the population of different age and sex groups consumed sweet carbonated drinks with a fairly high frequency (5-6 times a week). The analysis showed that there was no dependence of the body mass index on the frequency of consumption of carbonated beverages and the absence of gender and age differences.

Tree bark is an important natural polymer for sound absorption. The main components in the bark of different tree species are polymers with high molecular weight such as cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. The aim of this study is to determine the noise reduction coefficient (NRC), lignin, alcohol-benzene solubility (ABS), carbon (C), and nitrogen (N) contents in samples taken from the bark of different tree species-black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia), narrow-leaved ash (Fraxinus angustifolia), stone pine (Pinus pinea), silver lime (Tilia tomentosa), sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa), sessile oak (Quercus petraea), and maritime pine (Pinus pinaster) and to investigate the relationship between these chemical properties and sound absorption measurements.

A diet high in added sugars has been linked to poor diet quality; however, little is known about specific sources of added sugars and their association with diet quality. This study examined associations between added sugars intake from specific food and beverage sources and diet quality, as indicated by the Healthy Eating Index (HEI) 2020 score, among the U.S.

Background: and have obvious morphological features and strongly tolerate saline-alkali environments. However, the mechanisms that lead to the differences in saline-alkali tolerance between them remain unclear.
Methods: In this study, we employed comparative transcriptome analysis to investigate and under saline-alkali stress.

Adequate revegetation of abandoned farmland acts as a defence against desertification and soil loss, and can help remove carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, thereby playing an important role in regulating regional climate change. Legume, a nitrogen-fixation species, which could effectively improve vegetation coverage to control soil erosion, was widely used for revegetation. However, the dynamics of soil and plant development after legume introduction on abandoned farmland remain unclear.
