Background: Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor encephalitis (anti-NMDARE) is a prevalent type of autoimmune encephalitis caused by antibodies targeting the NMDAR's GluN1 subunit. While significant progress has been made in elucidating the pathophysiology of autoimmune diseases, the immunological mechanisms underlying anti-NMDARE remain elusive. This study aimed to characterize immune cell interactions and dysregulation in anti-NMDARE by leveraging single-cell multi-omics sequencing technologies.

Jusvinza is an immunomodulatory drug composed of an altered peptide ligand (APL) designed from a novel CD4+ T cell epitope of human heat shock protein 60 (HSP60), an autoantigen involved in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The peptide induces regulatory T cells and decreases levels of TNF-α and IL-17; pre-clinical and phase I clinical studies support its use for the treatment of RA. This peptide was repositioned for the treatment of COVID-19 patients with signs of hyperinflammation.

Macrophages in atherosclerosis and myocardial infarction have diverse functions, such as foam cell formation and the induction of an inflammatory response that promotes ventricular dysfunction in the heart. Exosomes are small vesicles released by many different types of cells, such as macrophages, dendritic cells, platelets and other immunoregulatory cells, that facilitate communication with other cells, modulating the biological functions of recipient cells. Exosomes offer a novel therapeutic approach for the polarization of macrophages involved in cardiovascular diseases.

Embryo implantation in the mare occurs just over one month after fertilization, coinciding with the production of chorionic gonadotropin. The factors that regulate this late implantation in the mare, and whether they are unique to horses or shared with more invasive embryo implantation in other species, remain poorly understood. This study aimed to determine and compare the transcriptome and subpopulations of endometrial cells before and after embryo implantation in the horse.

Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is the seventh most common cancer worldwide with a poor prognosis for survival. Risk factors include alcohol and tobacco abuse and infection with human papilloma virus (HPV). To enhance anti-tumor immune responses immunotherapeutic approaches are approved for recurrent metastatic disease but only approx.
