Cystic neoplasms of the liver are rare tumours. According to the recent WHO classification, they are classified into mucinous cystic neoplasm and intraductal papillary neoplasm based on the presence of ovarian-like stroma and biliary communication. We report two rare cases of mucinous cystadenoma of the liver with biliary communication and discuss the shortcomings of current classification.

Introduction: The evolution of hepatic hydatid cyst can be enameled with complications, mainly biliary fistula, which can be both symptomatic or occult. The aim of this study is to identify the predictive factors of occult cysto-biliary communication.
Material And Methods: This is a retrospective study of patients operated-on for uncomplicated hepatic hydatid cyst in Farhat Hached Hospital of Sousse over a period of 10 years.

Cholangiocarcinoma is the second most common primary liver cancer, and its global incidence has increased in recent years. Radical surgical resection and systemic chemotherapy have traditionally been the standard treatment options. However, the complexity of cholangiocarcinoma subtypes often presents a challenge for early diagnosis.

Severe damage to the intrahepatic biliary duct (IHBD) network occurs in multiple human advanced cholangiopathies, such as primary sclerosing cholangitis, biliary atresia and end-stage primary biliary cholangitis. Whether and how a severely damaged IHBD network could reconstruct has remained unclear. Here we show that, although the gallbladder is not directly connected to the IHBD, there is a common hepatic duct (CHD) in between, and severe damage to the IHBD network induces migration of gallbladder smooth muscle cells (SMCs) to coat the CHD in mouse and zebrafish models.

Background: This study aimed to explore the feasibility and safety of using 5G communication technology for domestic surgical robots to perform ultra-remote hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of five cases of ultra-remote domestic robot-assisted laparoscopic hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery completed at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (referred to as Hangzhou, Zhejiang) and Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Alaer Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (referred to as Alaer city, Xinjiang) from February to September 2023. The main system of the operating desk at Hangzhou, Zhejiang, uses 5G network signal transmission to remotely control the bedside operating system at Alaer City, Xinjiang.

Background: Simulation training has become part of medical student education, however endoscopy simulators have mostly been reserved for speciality training. Evidence suggests that simulation training has the potential to educate future doctors about endoscopy procedures and improve their communication with patients. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is an endoscopic procedure that is technically challenging and poorly understood by medical students.
