Microorganism pollution in rivers is of great importance to the protection of watershed water quality and public health management. As a typical watershed of the Haihe River watershed, the Beiyun River was chosen as the study area, and the characteristics and health risk of microorganism pollution were assessed from a comprehensive perspective. The results showed that the microbial contamination of the fecal sources was serious during the wet season, and the microbial amount at most river sections was more than 10 MPN·L. During the normal season and dry season, the microbial amount was approximately 10-10 MPN·L. Therefore, no obvious change could be observed. The fecal pollution in the agricultural river sections was the most severe, and the water quality of over 60% of these river sections was below the state Grade V level. The fecal microbial biomass of some urban river sections increased from 10 MPN·L to 10MPN·L after the rainfall event, indicating an obvious change of fecal microbial pollution during the rainfall process. For the Beiyun River, the exposure risk of the fecal microbial biomass was mainly between 0.015-0.035, while the Lianhua River, Macao River, lower reaches of Qinghe River, and lower reaches of Wenyu River were hotspots for contamination. Greater attention should be paid to these areas.

The characteristics of heartwood and sapwood not only reflect tree growth and site quality but also provide insights into habitat changes. This study examines the natural Oliv. forest in the Arghan section of the lower Tarim River, comparing the heartwood and sapwood characteristics of at different distances from the river, as well as at varying trunk heights and diameters at breast height (DBH).

To improve the performance of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) multi-label systems, the multi-label network structure needs to be quickly located and optimized. A multi-label location measurement method based on the NLM-Harris algorithm is proposed in this paper. Firstly, multi-label geometric distribution images are obtained through a label image acquisition system of a multi-label semi-physical simulation platform with two vertical Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) cameras, and Gaussian noise is added to the image to simulate thermoelectric interference.

The green vision rate of rural highway greening landscape is a key factor affecting the driver's visual load. Based on this, this paper uses the eye tracking method to study the visual characteristics of drivers in different green vision environments on rural highways in Xianning County. Based on the HSV color space model, this paper obtains four sections of rural highway with a green vision rate of 10~20%, green vision rate of 20~30%, green vision rate of 30~40%, and green vision rate of 40~50%.

Prior to implementing watershed-wide projects to reduce the impacts of agriculture on regional streams and rivers, stream habitats and benthic aquatic macroinvertebrate communities were assessed at 15 sites on the South Branch Root River and its major tributaries in southeastern Minnesota, USA. Triplicate kick-net samples were collected from each site during three time periods (1998, 1999, 2006/2008) and stream habitats were inventoried within 150 m long sections at each site. In total, 26,760 invertebrates representing 84 taxa were collected and used to rate stream sites using a regional multi-metric benthic index of biotic integrity (BIBI).

Freshwater turtle species preservation relies on understanding their population dynamics and geographical distribution. Amur softshell turtles (ASTs []) are poorly protected due to insufficient awareness and the population in Northeastern China has experienced a steep decline compared to previous years. This study aims to investigate the population density and structure of ASTs in the Jewellery Island area of the Ussuri River in Northeast China using continuous-time capture-recapture methods in closed populations.
