Background: Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in patients with bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) disease is still burdened by a non-negligible rate of stroke and permanent pacemaker implantation (PPI). These suboptimal results, possibly related to the unique BAV anatomy, might suggest the use of a different sizing method in this setting. The aim of our study is to evaluate whether the application of the supra-annular LIRA method might improve clinical outcomes in this population.

Background: There is a lack of information about the left ventricle (LV) systolic function changes during pump-assisted beating heart coronary artery bypass graft surgery (PACAB). This study aimed to study the changes in LV systolic function changes during PACAB.
Methods: In this prospective, single-arm, observational study, 70 patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status III or IV of either sex, aged 40-70 years, scheduled to undergo elective PACAB for isolated ischemic heart disease with EF >30% were included.

Introduction: In the congenital population, particularly in young adults, the best strategy for aortic valve surgery has not been clearly established. This study investigates the mortality, perioperative morbidity and echocardiographic evolution of complex aortic valve repair techniques.
Material And Methods: We performed a retrospective monocentric descriptive study of patients operated at the Louis Pradel Hospital (Lyon) from 2017 to 2023.
