To improve the census of the Upper Sco association (~11 Myr, ~145 pc), we have identified candidate members using parallaxes, proper motions, and color-magnitude diagrams from several wide-field imaging surveys and have obtained optical and infrared spectra of several hundred candidates to measure their spectral types and assess their membership. We also have performed spectroscopy on a smaller sample of previously known or suspected members to refine their spectral types and evidence of membership. We have classified 530 targets as members of Upper Sco, 377 of which lack previous spectroscopy. Our new compilation of all known members of the association contains 1631 objects. Although the census of Upper Sco has expanded significantly over the last decade, there remain hundreds of candidates that lack spectroscopy. The precise parallaxes and proper motions from the second data release of should extend down to substellar masses in Upper Sco, which will greatly facilitate the identification of the undiscovered members.

Gac fruit () belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family. This study aimed to investigate the anti-memory impairment effect of Gac fruit aril extract and brain acetylcholinesterase activity in adult zebrafish (Danio rerio). The behavioral test was performed using a color-biased appetite conditioning T-maze test and an inhibitory avoidance test to evaluate memory performance.

Open testicular biopsy histology and fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) are the most popular tests used to diagnose male infertility. This study aimed to assess the cytological characteristics of 186 infertile males aged 24-63 with testicular FNAC. Furthermore, the existing relationship between males with severe oligospermia (sperm count: 5 million/ml) and azoospermia was investigated via both cytological and histological diagnosis methods.

Delayed functional recovery after injury is associated with significant personal and socioeconomic burden. Identification of patients at risk for a prolonged recovery after a musculoskeletal injury is thus of high relevance. The aim of the current study was to show the feasibility of using a machine learning assisted model to predict functional recovery based on the pre- and immediate post injury patient activity as measured with wearable systems in trauma patients.

This prospective method comparison study compared cerebral oxygen saturation (ScO) measurement performance of the new cerebral oximeter (NeurOs®, Mespere LifeSciences, Ontario, Canada) in comparison to the established INVOS 5100C® (Medtronic, Boulder, USA) cerebral oximeter. We performed measurements during different levels of carbon dioxide pressure (PaCO) during hyper- and hypoventilation and different levels of arterial oxygen saturation (SaO) induced by variation of the inspiratory fraction of oxygen (FiO). 59 anesthetized cardiac and vascular surgical patients were studied during hemodynamically stable conditions.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) turned into a pandemic shortly after emerging in December 2019, in the city of Wuhan, China. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the presence of severe acute respiratory system coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) RNA in various clinical samples and the scattering profile of the virus and the variation of anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG and neutralizing antibody levels over time in infected patients during and after the period of COVID-19 disease. The study included COVID-19 patients from the community (CCP) (n= 47) (May-June 2020) and healthcare workers (HCWP) (n= 30) (November-December 2020).
