Multiparameter estimation theory offers a general framework to explore imaging techniques beyond the Rayleigh limit. While optimal measurements of single parameters characterizing a composite light source are now well understood, simultaneous determination of multiple parameters poses a much greater challenge that in general requires implementation of collective measurements. Here we show, theoretically and experimentally, that Hong-Ou-Mandel interference followed by spatially resolved detection of photons provides precise information on both the separation and the centroid for a pair of point emitters, avoiding trade-offs inherent to single-photon measurements.

In the last decade, substantial progress has been made to improve the performance of optical gyroscopes for inertial navigation applications in terms of critical parameters such as bias stability, scale factor stability, and angular random walk (ARW). Specifically, resonant fiber optic gyroscopes (RFOGs) have emerged as a viable alternative to widely popular interferometric fiber optic gyroscopes (IFOGs). In a conventional RFOG, a single-wavelength laser source is used to generate counter-propagating waves in a ring resonator, for which the phase difference is measured in terms of the resonant frequency shift to obtain the rotation rate.

Advancements in Raman light sheet microscopy have provided a powerful, non-invasive, marker-free method for imaging complex 3D biological structures, such as cell cultures and spheroids. By combining 3D tomograms made by Rayleigh scattering, Raman scattering, and fluorescence detection, this modality captures complementary spatial and molecular data, critical for biomedical research, histology, and drug discovery. Despite its capabilities, Raman light sheet microscopy faces inherent limitations, including low signal intensity, high noise levels, and restricted spatial resolution, which impede the visualization of fine subcellular structures.

An optical biosensor is a specialized analytical device that utilizes the principles of optics and light in bimolecular processes. Localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) is a phenomenon in the realm of nanophotonics that occurs when metallic nanoparticles (NPs) or nanostructures interact with incident light. Conversely, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is an influential analytical technique based on Raman scattering, wherein it amplifies the Raman signals of molecules when they are situated near specific and specially designed nanostructures.

We report a transverse optical torque exerted on a conventional isotropic spherical particle in a direction perpendicular to that of the illuminating wave propagation. By using full-wave simulations and deriving an analytical expression of the transverse optical torque for particle of arbitrary size, the origin of this transverse optical torque is traced exclusively to the magnetic part of the spin angular momentum, regardless of the size and composition of the illuminated particle. To our surprise, for a non-magnetic dielectric particle, the transverse optical torque is found to originate mainly from the magnetic response of the particle, even when the particle size is much smaller than the illuminating wavelength.

A new nanopalladium surface molecularly imprinted covalent organic framework (MICOF) catalytic probe (Pd@TpPa) for enrofloxacin (ENR) was synthesized by molecular imprinting technology, using 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol (Tp) and p-phenylenediamine (Pa) as monomers, ENR as the template molecule, and palladium nanoparticles (PdNP) as the core of nanocatalytic probe. This nanoprobe not only specifically recognizes ENR but also catalyzes the cupric tartrate-glucose (GL) indicator reaction. The amino groups in TpPa replace the tartrate ions, forming a new complex with Cu.
