Narrative pedagogy successfully transformed a previously discordant mental health clinical rotation into a reflective and engaged learning process. Use of the film "Wit" early in the clinical semester was popular with subsequent cohorts of students and helped better engage them in practicing therapeutic communication techniques. This article is an exemplar of the application of narrative pedagogy as a means of embracing the phenomenon of therapeutic communication in health care.

Background: Exosomes are extracellular vesicles released by cells that mediate intercellular communication and actively participate in cancer progression, metastasis, and regulation of immune response within the tumour microenvironment. Inhibiting exosome release from cancer cells could be employed as a therapeutic against cancer.
Methods And Results: In the present study, we have studied the effects of Acorus calamus in inhibiting exosome secretion via targetting Rab27a and neutral sphingomyelinase 2 (nSMase2) in HER2-positive (MDA-MB-453), hormone receptor-positive (MCF-7) and triple-negative breast cancer (MDA-MB-231) cells.

Upon stimulation and activation, mast cells (MCs) release soluble mediators, including histamine, proteases, and cytokines. These mediators are often stored within cytoplasmic granules in MCs and may be released in a granulated form. The secretion of cytokines and chemokines occurs within hours following activation, with the potential to result in chronic inflammation.

Obesity causes an imbalance in the expression and secretion of several organokines, which in turn contributes to the development of metabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes mellitus. Organokines are produced by corresponding organs and affect systemic metabolic homeostasis. Diverse organokines play a crucial role in the communication between adipose tissue, skeletal muscle and other organs.

Purpose: Health education programmes play a crucial role in enhancing oral health literacy and improving treatment outcomes. However, myths and misconceptions about oral health are widespread, affecting individuals' behaviours and their willingness to seek appropriate treatment. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of oral health myths and misconceptions among adults in Taif, Saudi Arabia, and to explore potential associations with demographic factors.

Platelet-like particles (PLPs), derived from megakaryocytic cell lines MEG-01 and K-562, are widely used as a surrogate to study platelet formation and function. We demonstrate by RNA-Seq that PLPs are transcriptionally distinct from platelets. Expression of key genes in signaling pathways promoting platelet activation/aggregation, such as the PI3K/AKT, protein kinase A, phospholipase C, and α-adrenergic and GP6 receptor pathways, was missing or under-expressed in PLPs.
