4-Methyl-2-prenylphenol (1) was synthesized from para-cresol and prenol, natural alcohol under the conditions of heterogeneous catalysis. A series of nine new aminomethyl derivatives with secondary and tertiary amino groups were obtained on the basis of compound 1. A comparative evaluation of their antioxidant properties was carried out using in vitro models. It was established that Mannich base with octylaminomethyl group has radical-scavenging activity, high Fe -chelation ability as well as the ability to inhibit oxidative hemolysis of red blood cells.

Glyphosate, a widely used herbicide in global agriculture, poses potential health risks due to environmental and dietary exposure. This study evaluated urinary concentrations of glyphosate and its metabolite, amino-methyl phosphonic acid (AMPA), among farmers and non-farmers in Morocco's Fez-Meknes region, using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. Glyphosate was detected in 57.

A phenolic Mannich base derived from 1'-hydroxy-2'-acetonaphthone (HAN) as a substrate and morpholine as an amine reagent was synthesized and structurally characterized. The sensing ability toward various metal ions of the s-, p- and d-block of this molecule that has the binding site for metal ions in the starting -hydroxyphenone preserved was examined. Interaction between this phenolic Mannich base and Al, Cr, Cu and Co leads to modifications of the sensing molecule's absorption spectrum.

Boronic Acid-Based Glucose Detection for Liver Three-Dimensional Cellular Models.

BioAI Drug Safety Prediction Platform, Quris, HaNatsiv St 6, Tel Aviv-Yafo 6701033, Israel.

Liver 3D cell models are regularly employed as a screening platform for predicting the metabolic safety of drugs, by monitoring the physiological responses of the spheroids, through the measurement of relevant markers of normal liver physiology, notably glucose. Measuring glucose levels within the spheroids and their surroundings provides insight into the metabolic homeostasis of liver cells and may be employed as an indication of potential drug-induced toxicity. Several ortho-aminomethyl phenylboronic acid (PDBA) glucose sensors have been developed.
