The generation of a small-caliber arterial graft, utilizing a large vessel of a small animal, such as the aorta of the rat or rabbit, for clinical use in the peripheral arterial tree, can widen the options for arterial prostheses. This study demonstrated the ability of the decellularization protocol that was used to produce a noncytotoxic acellular small-caliber arterial graft, with sufficient biomechanical and biological integrity to withstand the demanding flow and pressure environment of the rat aorta. This work also demonstrated the superiority of the decellularized homograft over its intact counterpart, in terms of lower immunogenicity.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: Endotheliocytes of the arterial and venous bed of the left and right testes of 60 white male rats, which were divided into two groups, were morphologically studied. The 1 group consisted of 30 intact animals, the 2 - 30 rats, which were daily intragastrically injected with a 30 % ethanol solution at the rate of 2 ml per 100 g of the animal's weight for 28 days.

The human vascular system, comprising endothelial cells (ECs) and mural cells, covers a vast surface area in the body, providing a critical interface between blood and tissue environments. Functional differences exist across specific vascular beds, but their molecular determinants across tissues remain largely unknown. In this study, we integrated single-cell transcriptomics data from 19 human organs and tissues and defined 42 vascular cell states from approximately 67,000 cells (62 donors), including angiotypic transitional signatures along the arterial endothelial axis from large to small caliber vessels.
