The global COVID-19 pandemic and seasonal influenza outbreaks have drawn attention to the critical need for accurate and efficient diagnostic tools. The performance of the InstaView COVID-19/Flu Ag Combo Test, which was designed to simultaneously detect the SARS-CoV-2, influenza A, and influenza B viruses, was analytically and clinically evaluated. The InstaView COVID-19/Flu Ag Combo Test exhibited robust detection capabilities, accurately identifying SARS-CoV-2, influenza A, and influenza B viruses over a wide concentration range (1.

Last time the world faced a deadly pandemic was the H1N1 Spanish flu in 1918, which affected almost one-third of the world's population (500 million people). Since then, almost 100 years later, we are now facing another pandemic of the SARS-CoV2 virus (COVID-19), which is still endemic to this day. As the technology evolved during those 100 years, an effective vaccine for COVID-19 was produced within only a year, a huge feat.

Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is an infectious disease caused by a tick-borne virus called severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus (SFTSV). In recent years, human infections through contact with ticks and through contact with the bodily fluids of infected dogs and cats have been reported; however, no vaccine is currently available. SFTSV has two glycoproteins (Gn and Gc) on its envelope, which are vaccine-target antigens involved in immunogenicity.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic one year after the centennial of the 1918 influenza pandemic reaffirms the catastrophic impact respiratory viruses can have on global health and economy. A key feature of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza A viruses (IAV) is their remarkable ability to suppress or dysregulate human immune responses. Here, we summarize the growing knowledge about the interplay of SARS-CoV-2 and antiviral innate immunity, with an emphasis on the regulation of type-I or -III interferon responses that are critically implicated in COVID-19 pathogenesis.
