Purpose: Analyzing dose distributions to regional lymph-node metastases (RLNMs) in locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) patients undergoing intracavitary and interstitial hybrid brachytherapy (IC/IS).
Methods: Dose distributions of eleven LACC patients with 38 RLNMs, and who received 38 IC/IS sessions were analyzed in EQD, considering RLNM positions and ipsilateral interstitial needles; these RLNMs, excepting the para-aortic region, were classified into four groups.
Results: RLNMs had a median of two ipsilateral interstitial needles per session.

Background: The brachytherapy is an indispensable treatment for gynecological tumors, but the quality and efficiency of brachytherapy training for residents is still unclear.
Methods: An anonymous questionnaire was designed to collect information on gynecological brachytherapy (GBT) training for radiation oncology residents from 28 training bases in China. The questionnaire content was designed based on the principle of competency based medical education (CBME).

Department of Radiation Oncology, Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, Sendai, Japan.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the treatment results with focus on local control (LC) by computed tomography (CT)-guided intracavity brachytherapy and interstitial brachytherapy (ICBT/ISBT) for locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC).
Methods And Materials: Patients with LACC undergoing ICBT/ISBT at least once in our institution between January 2017 and June 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. The primary endpoint was local control (LC), and the secondary endpoints were progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and late toxicities.

Background: A frequently encountered problem in laparoscopic surgery is an impaired visual field. The Novel Intracavitary Laparoscopic Cleaning Device (NILCD) is designed to adequately clean a laparoscopic lens quickly and efficiently without requiring removal from the surgical cavity. Animal and cadaver studies showed good efficacy and a short learning curve.
