Aim Of The Study: Bacteria that persist at the time of obturation increase the possibility of persistent apical periodontitis. An ideal sealer should be able to kill these remaining bacteria that are present on the dentinal walls as well as inside the dentinal tubules. This could be possible if a sealer has antimicrobial properties with optimum flow characteristics. Hence, the aim of this study was to assess the antimicrobial efficacy of epoxy resin-based sealer: AH Plus and Perma Evolution against on the 1, 3, 5, and 7 day and also to compare the flow characteristics of both epoxy resin-based sealers.
Materials And Methods: ATCC 35550 strain was used to assess the antibacterial efficacy of sealers by agar-diffusion test (ADT) and direct-contact test (DCT). Flow characteristics of sealers were measured according to the ADA specification no. 57.
Results: In ADT, Perma Evolution sealer showed larger zone of inhibition than AH plus on the 1, 3, 5, and 7 day, and in DCT, both sealers were equally effective in inhibiting growth on the 1, 3, 5, and 7 day. Flow test showed no significant difference between Perma Evolution and AH Plus sealer.
Conclusion: Both the tested sealers were equally effective against up to 7 days of incubation period. Considering flow properties, both the tested sealers showed optimum flow as per the ADA specification no. 57.

Nowadays, most of the newly developed active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) consist of cohesive particles with a mean particle size of <100μm, a wide particle size distribution (PSD) and a tendency to agglomerate, therefore they are difficult to handle in continuous manufacturing (CM) lines. The current paper focuses on the impact of various glidants on the bulk properties of difficult-to-handle APIs. Three challenging powders were included: two extremely cohesive APIs (acetaminophen micronized (APAPμ) and metoprolol tartrate (MPT)) which previously have shown processing issues during different stages of the continuous direct compression (CDC)-line and a spray dried placebo (SD) powder containing hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (HPMC), known for its sub-optimal flow with a high specific surface area (SSA) and low density.

Hypothesis: Coherent structures by low-Stokes-number particles are induced within a closed flow, in which ordered flow regions known as Kolmogorov-Arnold-Moser (KAM) tori emerge. A variety of structures with different spatial characteristics has been predicted by varying the Stokes number, whereas the coexistence of structures in flow suspending various types of particles has not been hitherto demonstrated.
