Colloidal quantum dot (CQD) near-infrared (NIR) upconversion devices (UCDs) can directly convert low-energy NIR light into higher energy visible light without the need for additional integrated circuits, which is advantageous for NIR sensing and imaging. However, the state-of-the-art CQD NIR upconverters still face challenges, including high turn-on voltage (), low photon-to-photon (p-p) upconversion efficiency, and low current on/off ratio, primarily due to inherent limitations in the device structure and operating mechanisms. In this work, we developed a CQD NIR UCD based on a hole-only injection mechanism.

AOSLO-mediated visual stimuli are created by temporally modulating the excitation light as it scans across the retina. As a result, each location within the field of view receives a brief flash of light during each scanner cycle (every 33-40 ms).

Unipolar barrier architecture is designed to enhance the photodetector's sensitivity by inducing highly asymmetrical barriers, a higher barrier for blocking majority carriers to depressing dark current, and a low minority carrier barrier without impeding the photocurrent flow through the channel. Depressed dark current without block photocurrent is highly desired for uncooled Long-wave infrared (LWIR) photodetection, which can enhance the sensitivity of the photodetector. Here, an excellent unipolar barrier photodetector based on multi-layer (ML) graphene (G) is developed, WSe, and PtSe (G-WSe-PtSe) van der Waals (vdW) heterostructure, in which extremely low dark current of 1.

Ascorbic acid (AA) is used as a food additive for its antibacterial and antioxidant properties. However, excessive intake of AA is harmful to humans. Therefore, the detection of Fe and AA is generally recognized to be meaningful.

Strong background interference signals from normal tissues have significantly compromised the sensitive fluorescence imaging of early disease tissues with exogenous probes in vivo, particularly for sensitive fluorescence imaging of early liver disease due to the liver's significant uptake and accumulation of exogenous nanoprobes, coupled with high tissue autofluorescence and deep tissue depth. As a proof-of-concept study, we herein report a near-infrared-II (NIR-II, 1.0-1.
