Purpose Of Review: To elucidate the keywords big data and artificial intelligence and corresponding literature in the field of urolithiasis.

Recent Findings: Numbers of publications on big data and artificial intelligence in the field of urolithiasis are rising, but still low. Most publications describe the development, testing, and validation of automated computational analyses of clinical data sets and/or images in a preclinical setting.

Summary: In the field of digital health services, there is a discrepancy between the enormous commitment of large private companies and investments of public funds. This situation means a still small number of medical publications on this topic in the urolithiasis field. Nevertheless, as doctors and scientists, we should try to provide our patients with secure and worthwhile digital services.

Spectral adversarial attack on graph via node injection.

Neural Netw

January 2025

School of Big Data and Computer Science, Guizhou Normal University, Guiyang 550025, China.

Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) have shown remarkable achievements and have been extensively applied in various downstream tasks, such as node classification and community detection. However, recent studies have demonstrated that GNNs are vulnerable to subtle adversarial perturbations on graphs, including node injection attacks, which negatively affect downstream tasks. Existing node injection attacks have mainly focused on the limited local nodes, neglecting the analysis of the whole graph which restricts the attack's ability.

Electronic address:

Metalaxyl is an acylanilide systemic fungicide that is widely applied and can readily enter ecosystems through leaching and soil runoff. This research utilized zebrafish as a model organism to thoroughly investigate the detrimental impacts of environmentally relevant levels of metalaxyl on the development of the notochord in zebrafish embryos and to elucidate the underlying molecular mechanisms through transcriptomics, pharmacological intervention and molecular biological detection. The preliminary results demonstrated that metalaxyl induced significant modifications in the developmental parameters of zebrafish embryos.

Zebrafish as a model system for studying reproductive diseases.

Front Cell Dev Biol

December 2024

Jiangxi Engineering Laboratory of Zebrafish Modeling and Drug Screening for Human Diseases, Jiangxi Key Laboratory of Organs Development and Epigenetics, Key Laboratory of Jiangxi Province for Biological Invasion and Biosecurity, College of Life Sciences, Clinical Research Center of Affiliated Hospital of Jinggangshan University, Jinggangshan University, Ji'an, China.

Reproductive system diseases have become a major health challenge facing humans, so extensive investigations are needed to understand their complex pathogenesis and summarize effective treatments. In the study of reproductive diseases, mice are the most commonly used animal model. However, the cost and time required to establish mouse animal models are high.

Chest computed tomography (CT) is essential for diagnosing and monitoring thoracic aortic dilations and aneurysms, conditions that place patients at risk of complications such as aortic dissection and rupture. However, aortic measurements in chest CT radiology reports are often embedded in free-text formats, limiting their accessibility for clinical care, quality improvement and research purposes. In this study, we developed a multi-method pipeline to extract structured aortic measurements from radiology reports, and compared the performance of fine-tuned BERT-based models with instruction-tuned Llama large language models (LLMs).

Subcellular Spatial Transcriptomics (SST) represents an innovative technology enabling researchers to investigate gene expression at the subcellular level within tissues. To comprehend the spatial architecture of a given tissue, cell segmentation plays a crucial role in attributing the measured transcripts to individual cells. However, existing cell segmentation methods for SST datasets still face challenges in accurately distinguishing cell boundaries due to the varying characteristics of SST technologies.
