() are a gene family that relies on NAD +/NADP + proteins to oxidize toxic aldehydes to non-toxic carboxylic acids, and they play a crucial role in the growth and development of plants, as well as in their ability to withstand stress. This study identified 26 genes from six gene families distributed on six chromosomes. By analyzing the phylogeny, gene structure, conserved motifs, cis-regulatory elements, collinearity of homologs, evolutionary patterns, differentiation patterns, and expression variations under drought stress, we found that the gene is involved in phytohormones and exhibits responsiveness to various environmental stressors by modulating multiple cis-regulatory elements.

Obesity-related cardiac dysfunction is a significant global health challenge. High-fat diets (HFDs) are well-established models of obesity. HFD has been reported to induce cardiac dysfunction and alter cardiac miRNA expression, DNA methylation and histone modifications.

Apyrases (APYs) directly regulate intra- and extra-cellular ATP homeostasis and play a key role in the process of plants adapting to various stresses. In this study, we identified and characterized soybean APY (GmAPY) family members at the genomic level. The results identified a total of 18 APYRASE homologous genes with conserved ACR domains.

Horizontal gene transfer (HGT) is a significant source of diversity in prokaryotes and a key factor in their genome evolution. Although similar processes have been postulated for eukaryotes, the validity of HGT's impact remains contested, particularly between long-distance-related organisms like those from different kingdoms. Among eukaryotes, the fungal subphylum Pezizomycotina has been frequently cited in the literature for experiencing HGT events, with over 600 publications on the subject.

Ovarian cancers harboring inactivating mutations in or demonstrate increased sensitivity to poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitors (PARPis). promoter methylation could serve as a more precise biomarker for therapy response, as it reflects a dynamic mechanism, compared with genomic scarring, which remains persistent and lacks real-time prediction of sensitivity after prior lines of treatment. Additionally, the promoter methylation may provide a more precise biomarker for identifying homologous recombination deficiency compared to genomic scars.
