Bed rest (BR) studies are primarily designed to investigate the effects of weightlessness on the human body, but they are also used to study the effects of physical inactivity. For this purpose, participants are typically recruited from the general population without requiring specialized training, which contrasts with the selection process for cosmonauts. The BR study environment is often characterized as highly stressful, highlighting the importance of understanding coping mechanisms and adaptation strategies among participants, as well as the role of their daily interactions.

Background: Understanding resilience factors in children is essential for developing early mental health interventions. Middle childhood is an understudied developmental stage, with many quantitative measures lacking validation for this age group and not capturing diverse experiences. Interpersonal trust is the premise and foundation of encouraging cooperation in this age of rapid progress. The purpose of this study was to investigate how moral judgment affects bystanders' interpersonal trust and its internal mechanisms when there are ethical transgressions. The moral judgment of the evaluators was divided into three categories-opposition, neutrality and approval-on the basis of the moral transgressions of the offenders.

Learning engagement is a crucial factor affecting the quality of learning and holds significant value in promoting student development and enhancing teaching quality. By using time-lagged data from four schools and considering intentional self-regulation, this study integrates three types of relationships (parent-child, teacher-student, and peer relationships) into the same research framework to examine their impacts on learning engagement and the underlying mechanisms among high school students. The findings reveal that parent-child, teacher-student, and peer relationships all significantly positively affect high school students' learning engagement.

Background: Adolescence is a particularly sensitive period of development for military-connected youth, given the socioemotional and physical changes that occur against the backdrop of the military career of their parent(s). Military-connected adolescents face unique stressors relative to their civilian counterparts, such as military relocations, parental absence due to deployments and trainings, and parental military-related physical and mental injury. These stressors may change family dynamics and disrupt social support networks, which can have lasting implications for adolescent health and well-being.
