Article Abstract
Purpose: Residual stress has a great influence on the mechanical behaviour of arterial wall. Numerous research groups used the Uniform Stress Hypothesis to allow the inclusion of the effects of residual stress when computing stress distributions in the arterial wall. Nevertheless, the available methods used for this purpose are very computationally expensive, due to their iterative nature. In this paper we present a new method for including the effects of residual stress on the computed stress distribution in the arterial wall.
Methods: The new method, by using the Uniform Stress Hypothesis, enables computing the effect of residual stress by averaging stresses across the thickness of the arterial wall.
Results: Being a post-processing method for the computed stress distributions, the proposed method is computationally inexpensive, and thus, better suited for clinical applications than the previously used ones.
Conclusions: The resulting stress distributions and values obtained using the proposed method based on the Uniform Stress Hypothesis are very close to the ones returned by an existing iterative method.

Technical alkaline lignin (TAL)-based composite films have been developed for anti-corrosion applications, during which one-component solvents, including acetone and ethanol, were employed. Background: Charcoal Rot (CR) poses a significant threat to mung bean crops by reducing yield, making the development of resistant varieties crucial for stable production and food security. This study evaluated 19 newly identified mung bean landraces using biochemical traits and SSR markers, revealing genetic variability, CR disease reactions, and traits influencing yield and resistance, which provide valuable insights for breeding CR-resistant, high-yielding varieties.
Methods And Results: Mung bean landraces were evaluated for their response to CR using 4 biochemical parameters, and 10 SSR markers to assess genetic variability and disease resistance.

To predict the flow behavior and identify the optimal hot processing window for A100 steel, a constitutive model and a hot processing map were established using true stress-strain data extracted from isothermal compression tests performed at temperatures ranging from 1073 to 1353 K and strain rates varying between 0.01 and 10 s. The results indicate a strong linear trend between the logarithmic stress and the reciprocal of temperature, along with a significant quadratic relationship between the logarithmic stress and logarithmic strain rate.
