Background: Human adamantinomatous craniopharyngioma (ACP) is a brain tumor that originates at the base of the skull and shows aggressive local behavior, invading sensitive structures such as the optic pathways and hypothalamus. The conventional treatment of the tumor has been surgery and radiotherapy with the consequent development of serious sequelae. It is well known that Substance P (SP) peptide and Neurokinin-1 receptor (NK-1R) are involved in inflammation and cancer progression and its blockage with NK-1R antagonists has been shown to effectively counteract tumor development in preclinical trials.

Background: The second-line treatment of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) of unknown primary origin remains uncertain. This report presented a patient who received octreotide plus IBI-318 plus anlotinib as a second-line treatment for multiple metastatic NETs of unknown primary lesions after the failure of octreotide plus everolimus.
Case Presentation: A 32-year-old male patient presented with elevated CEA (197.

Background: Leishmaniasis is a group of neglected vector-borne diseases transmitted by phlebotomine sand flies. Leishmania parasites must overcome various defenses in the sand fly midgut, including the insects's immune response. Insect immunity is regulated by the ecdysone hormone, which binds to its nuclear receptor (EcR) and activates the transcription of genes involved in insect immunity.

Pituitary tumours (PT) are formed in the pituitary gland, a small gland situated at the base of the brain. These tumours can be categorized according to their histological origin and hormone production. In surgical series, non-functioning PT are the commonest subtype, followed by functioning somatotroph and corticotroph tumours.

Objectives: Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) analog that binds to GLP-1 receptors (GLP-1R) on beta-cells and neuronal cells and is used for treating type 2 diabetes and obesity. Insulin-secreting pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms have been reported to express high levels of GLP-1R protein, raising the possibility that GLP-1 receptor agonists could promote tumor growth. Our goal was to quantify GLP-1R expression levels in 6 neuroendocrine neoplasm cellular models and determine their proliferative response to semaglutide treatment.
