This paper evaluated the total carbon stock of mangrove ecosystems in two contrasting sites: a fishing village in Delta Kelantan (DK) and Ramsar sites in Johor Park (JP). In both sites, aboveground carbon was significantly higher than belowground carbon, and stems contained more carbon than leaf and root partitions. The average carbon concentration of individual mangrove species (44.9-48.1%) was not significantly different but the larger biomass of the DK samples resulted in vegetation carbon stock that was higher than that in JP. Season played an important role in soil carbon stock-a pronounced wet season in DK coincided with the dry season in JP. The total carbon pool was estimated to be 427.88 t ha in JP and 512.51 t ha in DK, where at least 80% was contributed by soil carbon. The carbon dioxide equivalent was 1570.32 t ha COe (JP) and 1880.91 t ha COe (DK).

Designing efficient and cost-effective electrocatalysts toward oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) under demanding acidic environments plays a critical role in advancing proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). Metal-nitrogen-carbon (M-N-C) catalysts with atomically dispersed metals have gained attention for their affordability, excellent catalytic performance, and distinctive features including consistent active sites and high atomic utilization. Over the past decade, significant achievements have been made in this field.

Background: Case reports suggest that calcitonin gene-related peptide monoclonal antibodies (CGRP mAbs) may trigger inflammatory flares in patients with autoimmune diseases.

Case Description: A 56-year-old woman with a history of severe migraines, experienced improvement in migraine frequency and intensity after starting fremanezumab 225 mg monthly. However, three months into treatment, she developed symmetric inflammatory polyarthralgias.

Objectives: We aimed to assess the anti-mutated citrullinated vimentin (anti-MCV) antibodies in RA patients' serum and to explore their association with interstitial lung disease (ILD).

Methods: Eighty rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients and forty healthy controls were included in this case-control study. Of these patients, forty had ILD, and forty without ILD.

The purpose of this review is to gain attention about intro the advanced and green technology that has dual action for both clean wastewater and produce energy. Water scarcity and the continuous energy crisis have arisen as major worldwide concerns, requiring the creation of ecologically friendly and sustainable energy alternatives. The rapid exhaustion of fossil resources needs the development of alternative energy sources that reduce carbon emissions while maintaining ecological balance.

Selenium (Se) is an essential element for humans, playing a critical role in the functioning of the immune system. The global prevalence of dietary Se deficiency is a significant public health concern, largely attributed to the low levels of Se present in crops. The sufficient Se in plants and humans is determined by the presence of stable Se sources in the soil.
