Oropouche virus (OROV) is an orthobunyavirus endemic in the Brazilian Amazon that has caused numerous outbreaks of febrile disease since its discovery in 1955. During 2024, Oropouche fever spread from the endemic regions of Brazil into non-endemic areas and other Latin American and Caribbean countries, resulting in 13,014 confirmed infections. Similarly to other orthobunyaviruses, OROV can undergo genetic reassortment events with itself as well as other viruses.

Sarcoidosis is a rare, multisystemic disease of unknown etiology, characterized by noncaseating granulomas in various organs. The disease often presents with nonspecific symptoms that complicate the diagnosis. We describe the case of a 31-year-old woman who presented to her family doctor with weight loss, cervical lymphadenopathy, parotid edema, and cutaneous lesions, initially raising suspicion of a lymphoproliferative disorder.

Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a persistent inflammation of the digestive system, and Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) and their exosomes have demonstrated potential as treatments for this condition. The objective of this research was to examine the possible effectiveness of intraperitoneal injection of umbilical cord-MSCs (UC-MSCs) and their exosomes through a two-time injection regimen in a mouse model.

Method: In this study, an animal model of a specific type of IBD in C57BL/6 mice, induced by dextran sulfate sodium (DSS), was utilized.
