Chlorination is the most common method to control water qualities, in some case on-site outdoor measurements are required to measure easily-decaying residual chlorine concentration appropriately without delay. In this study sunlight-induced unexpected colour development (UCD) of N, N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine (DPD) colorimetric measurement was studied under several sun exposure conditions. The colour development level was evaluated with reference to chlorine concentration (mg/L) and relationships between colour development rate (mg/L min) and intensities of solar were investigated. UCD was found to be related to both exposure intensity and time. By means of exposure experiment under specific wavelength of ultraviolet (UV), it was confirmed that both middle and short wavelength of UV radiation being responsible for such an unexpected measurement. Consequently, a simple device was designed using three commercially available anti-UV films, one of which could effectively prevent the UCD from direct sun exposure.

The use of metal nanoparticles is gaining popularity owing to their low cost and high efficacy. We focused on green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using (Tc) leaf extracts. The structural characteristics of Tc nanoparticles (TcAgNPs) were determined using several advanced techniques.

Unlabelled: is to develop and implement an algorithm for image analysis in brain tumors (glioblastoma and metastasis) based on diffusion kurtosis MRI images (DKI) for the assessment of anisotropic changes in brain tissues in the directions from the tumor to the intact (as shown by the standard MRI data) white matter, which will enable generating individual tumor invasion maps.
Materials And Methods: A healthy volunteer and two patients (one with glioblastoma and the other with a single metastasis of small cell lung cancer) were examined by DKI obtaining 12 parametric kurtosis maps for each participant.
Results: During the investigation, we have developed an algorithm of DKI analysis and plotting the profile of tissue parameters in the direction from the tumor towards the unaffected white matter according to the data of standard MRI.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has become one of the major public health concerns causing serious obstacles to the successful prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. To curb the spread of AMR, well-equipped laboratories for the early detection of disease-causing pathogens and resistant genes are crucial, something that remains unmet in developing countries due to resource constraints and inadequate infrastructure. This paper presents an affordable and simple nanoparticle-based biosensor for rapidly detecting the gene in carbapenemase-producing (CP) bacteria.

Biopolymer films derived from starch and chitosan were soaked in vanadium salt solutions to produce vanadium metallopolymer films. Visible light irradiation induces significant color shifts from yellow to green due to changes in the oxidation state of vanadium. The material was observed to undergo dramatic structural changes upon incorporation of vanadium, with further restructuring occurring after visible light illumination.

Honeybees' success is strictly linked to the chemical and application properties of their products: honey, beeswax (BW), venom, propolis, pollen and royal jelly. Among these products, BW, a natural compound secreted by bees, is particularly valued for its stability and is widely used in cosmetics for make-up and skincare production or in dermatology to produce creams. In recent years, there has been a growing awareness of the critical role these insects play in the ecosystem.
