Our study aimed to determine the expression pattern and clinical relevance of CD99 in paediatric B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (BCP-ALL). Our findings demonstrate that high expression levels of CD99 are mainly found in high-risk BCP-ALL, e.g. BCR-ABL1 and CRLF2 and that high CD99 mRNA levels are strongly associated with a high frequency of relapse, high proportion of positive for minimal residual disease at day 29 and poor overall survival in paediatric cohorts, which indicate that CD99 is a potential biomarker for BCP-ALL.

The respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of lower respiratory tract infections in children and adults. With nearly everyone infected by the age of five, there is an opportunity to develop booster vaccines that enhance B-cell immunity, promoting potent and broadly neutralizing antibodies. One potential approach involves using anti-idiotypic antibodies (anti-IDs) to mimic specific antigenic sites and enhance preexisting immunity in an epitope-specific manner.

Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia is the most common childhood malignancy that remains a leading cause of death in childhood. It may be characterised by multiple known recurrent genetic aberrations that inform prognosis, the most common being hyperdiploidy and t(12;21) . We aimed to assess the applicability of a new imaging flow cytometry methodology that incorporates cell morphology, immunophenotype, and fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH) to identify aneuploidy of chromosomes 4 and 21 and the translocation .

In this study, we determined the frequency of secondary lesions in 28 iAMP21 BCP-ALL patient samples and investigated cellular sensitivity for candidate-targeted drugs. iAMP21 was enriched in aberrations (10.

Melanoma brain metastasis (MBM) is linked to dismal prognosis, low overall survival, and is detected in up to 80% of patients at autopsy. Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) are the smallest functional units of cancer and precursors of fatal metastasis. We previously employed an unbiased multilevel approach to discover a unique ribosomal protein large/small subunits (RPL/RPS) CTC gene signature associated with MBM.

Background: Recent genomic research has identified several genetic factors contributing to B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). However, the exact cause of the disease is still not fully understood. It is known that mutations in the TAL2 gene play important roles in the development of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
