Interest in autoimmune encephalitis has been growing since the discovery of various autoimmune antibodies, such as -methyl D-aspartate receptors antibody and leucine-rich glioma-inactivated 1 antibody. However, in contrast to autoimmune encephalitis associated with dysregulated adaptive immunity in the brain, the question of whether innate immunity-mediated autoinflammatory diseases exist in the brain has drawn much attention. Herein, we report a patient with microglia-dominant acute autoinflammatory encephalitis successfully treated with anakinra, an including interleukin-1 receptor blocker. In comparison to systemic autoinflammatory disease, we term this encephalitis cerebral autoinflammatory disease. Cerebral autoinflammatory disease could suggest new conceptual approaches to patients previously diagnosed with an unspecified encephalitis.

Objectives: Bimekizumab, a monoclonal IgG1 antibody that selectively inhibits interleukin (IL)‑17F in addition to IL-17A, previously demonstrated efficacy and was well tolerated to 1 year in patients with non-radiographic (nr-) and radiographic (r-) axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA). Here, we report bimekizumab safety and efficacy to 2 years.
Methods: Patients completing week 52 in the phase 3 studies BE MOBILE 1 (nr-axSpA; NCT03928704) and 2 (r‑axSpA; NCT03928743) were eligible for an ongoing open‑label extension (OLE; NCT04436640).

Purpose Of Review: To outline the latest discoveries regarding the utility and reliability of serum biomarkers in idiopathic recurrent acute pericarditis (IRAP), considering recent findings on its pathogenesis. The study highlights the predictive role of these biomarkers in potential short- (cardiac tamponade, recurrences) and long-term complications (constrictive pericarditis, death).
Recent Findings: The pathogenesis of pericarditis has been better defined in recent years, focusing on the autoinflammatory pathway.

Background: Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) is the most common monogenic autoinflammatory disease, associated with MEFV mutations. FMF patients can experience liver involvement, potentially leading to cirrhosis.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate liver involvement in FMF patients at a French tertiary centre for adult FMF.

Polyphenolic plant compounds possess nutritional and pro-healthy potential, reducing the risk of auto-inflammatory and neoplastic diseases. However, their interference with the progression of thyroid gland dysfunctions has remained largely unaddressed. For this purpose, we combined the analyses of phenolic content and antioxidative activity with the thyroid peroxidase (TPO), lipoxygenase (LOX), xanthine oxidase (XO) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) activity assays, isobolographic approach and the estimation of thyroid cancer cells' proliferation and motility in vitro.

Background: Familial Mediterranean Fever is a common genetic autoinflammatory disease prevalent in the Mediterranean region. The clinical course of the disease is characterized by fever and serositis attacks. While defects in the innate immune system are known to play a role in the pathogenesis of the disease, the impact of the adaptive immune system remains unclear.
